OneCharge — Simplifying the EV Charging Experience
Overview
The concept focuses on reducing the friction EV drivers face when searching for a suitable charger. Instead of jumping between fragmented information, users can discover nearby charging stations, check live availability, compare charging speeds and pricing, view charger details, navigate to a station, and manage their charging experience from one place.
This project was designed collaboratively by Devansh Thapa and Aryan Bhandari, combining our ideas and design perspectives to create a more seamless EV charging experience.
OneCharge is a mobile EV charging experience designed to make finding, comparing, and using charging stations simpler.
The concept focuses on reducing the friction EV drivers face when searching for a suitable charger. Instead of jumping between fragmented information, users can discover nearby charging stations, check live availability, compare charging speeds and pricing, view charger details, navigate to a station, and manage their charging experience from one place.
The Challenge
EV charging can feel fragmented. Drivers need to consider location, availability, connector type, charging speed, pricing, and distance before choosing where to charge.
The goal was to bring these decisions into a clearer and more intuitive mobile experience.
The Solution
I designed OneCharge around a straightforward journey:
Discover → Compare → Navigate → Charge → Manage
The interface prioritizes the information users need most when making a charging decision, while keeping the experience clean and easy to scan.
