Overview

BTC Techno is a pioneer Venezuelan technology and Web3 security store founded to educate, secure, and empower individuals and businesses navigating the digital asset ecosystem. Operating at the intersection of cybersecurity, financial technology, and blockchain, the company has established itself as a trusted authority on crypto self-custody and digital asset protection across Venezuela and Latin America.
As the primary authorized official reseller in Venezuela for leading global hardware wallet and security manufacturers, BTC Techno fills a vital gap in one of LATAM's most active cryptocurrency markets: delivering guaranteed authentic hardware security directly to users. In May 2024, they launched BTC Techno Magazine, the first dual digital and print publication dedicated to Web3, digital assets, and technological innovation produced out of Venezuela for the broader Latin American region.
I've been BTC Techno's creative partner for years, responsible for their branding, e-commerce platform, product catalogs, and ongoing visual communication.

The Challenge

Crypto hardware security is a trust-first category. Customers are buying devices that protect their life savings, so every visual touchpoint has to communicate legitimacy, technical authority, and military-grade protection. At the same time, BTC Techno isn't a cold enterprise brand. They're educators and community builders operating in a market where many users are encountering hardware wallets for the first time.
The brand needed to walk a fine line: serious enough to signal that these are authentic, authorized products from global manufacturers, yet approachable enough to welcome newcomers into the ecosystem. The e-commerce experience had to handle a complex product catalog (multiple manufacturers, multiple wallet models, accessories, and security devices) without overwhelming users who may not yet understand the differences between a Trezor and a Tangem. And everything had to work in a market with its own infrastructure realities: mobile-first browsing, varied connectivity, and a customer base that values direct, clear communication.

The Strategy

We started from the core tension: security is serious, but education should feel inviting. The brand strategy was built around the idea that BTC Techno is a bridge, connecting global security technology to Latin American users in a way that feels local, trustworthy, and empowering rather than intimidating.
For the visual identity, we leaned into a language that projects technological precision and protection without defaulting to the dark, overly aggressive aesthetic that dominates most crypto brands. The system needed to scale across digital and print (the magazine, product catalogs, social media, and the e-commerce platform) while maintaining a consistent voice.
For the e-commerce experience, the strategy centered on product comparison and education. Most visitors arrive knowing they need a hardware wallet but unsure which one. The UX had to guide them from curiosity to confidence to checkout with minimal friction.

The Solution

Brand Identity & Visual System — The identity system was designed to project trust, innovation, and security at every touchpoint. We developed a visual language that balances technical authority with accessibility: clean typography, a structured color system, and graphic elements that reference blockchain architecture and digital protection without resorting to clichés. The system scales from social media assets and digital ads to printed catalogs and the magazine, maintaining coherence across every format.
E-Commerce Design & Development — The full Web UI/UX was built around frictionless navigation and conversion optimization. Product pages feature detailed specifications and comparison tools that help users evaluate hardware wallets side by side. The checkout flow was stripped down to essentials, reducing drop-off at every step. Category architecture was organized by manufacturer and use case, so both crypto veterans and first-time buyers can find what they need without getting lost.
Catalogs & Print — Product catalogs were designed as both sales tools and educational resources. Each catalog presents manufacturer lineups with clear feature breakdowns, use-case guidance, and visual hierarchy that makes complex technical specifications scannable. The same design language carries through to BTC Techno Magazine, reinforcing brand consistency across every printed piece.

The Result

A Unified Brand System — BTC Techno went from fragmented visual communication to a cohesive identity that works across digital, print, e-commerce, and editorial. Every touchpoint speaks the same language, reinforcing their position as Venezuela's most trusted Web3 security partner.
An E-Commerce Platform Built for Conversion — The store organizes products from six major manufacturers into a clear, navigable structure. Users can compare wallets, understand what they're buying, and check out without friction, all optimized for mobile-first browsing.
Catalogs That Educate and Sell — Print and digital catalogs serve double duty: they're sales tools for the business and onboarding resources for customers new to hardware security. Clear feature breakdowns and visual hierarchy make complex product lines accessible.
A Long-Term Creative Partnership — This wasn't a one-off engagement. Years of ongoing collaboration mean the brand evolves consistently, every new product launch, magazine issue, and campaign extension builds on the same foundation rather than starting from scratch.
