I created an illustration of a fake advertising poster for the game Animal Crossing New Horizons, which is promoting the Deserted Island Getaway Package
Design Process
I used 70's posters as inspiration for the colors. I added the rainbow stripes to create a "vintage" look and then added the Animal Crossing leaf symbol in the middle. I copied the leaf symbol and moved them randomly throughout the background and then distributed the stripe colors across them evenly. I added simplified graphics of the beach and the sea and the island to show what the package offered. I created the sticker through referencing a picture of tom nook and then simplifying it down like the other elements. I added the text and then the circle behind the text and head and then added a rim to make it look like like a stamp. I used blend modes to make the stamp match the color palette.
