MOKU Matcha — Café Brand Identity and Packaging
MOKU Matcha is a café branding concept that turns the everyday matcha ritual into a distinctive visual experience. The system combines a bold, rounded wordmark, expressive character illustrations, and a palette of matcha green, forest green, and white.
Project goal
Build a flexible identity that feels playful and recognizable across product packaging, café materials, and in-store touchpoints.
Design approach
The substantial letterforms give MOKU a clear visual anchor. Illustrated characters and contrasting greens add personality while keeping the identity coherent from small labels to large signage.
Brand applications
The system is shown across matcha tins, takeaway cups, cup carriers, paper packaging, menus, loyalty cards, posters, tote bags, uniforms, and café signage. An animated opening introduces the wordmark and applications in motion.
Outcome
A complete visual identity concept with a consistent language across packaging, print, apparel, and the café environment. The gallery shows the system in packaging and café mockups.
