The Assignment:
Two cyber security companies asked me to explain the pioneering value of a new, joint cyber-threat intelligence service. My team created a series of real-world attack scenarios to storify how the tool proactively detects hackers.
The Results:
Two weeks after showing our clients a scenario that illustrated how their new tool effectively shielded organizations like hospitals from attacks, a real ransomware virus called WannaCry infected computers in more than 150 countries. The client was exceptionally pleased with the accuracy, intuitiveness, and creativity of our scenarios. This project led to more than 350 immediate sales leads and more work down the road. One company called the effort "Herculean."
