Sunsies Studio brand design and creation

Sunsies Studio began as a personal experiment after I bought a 3D printer and got obsessed with making my own home decor.
Each collection lived on Shopify and Etsy, and the brand grew through small business content across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and a newsletter, with Instagram as the most active channel.
Most 3D printed objects look engineered: efficient, precise, a little cold. I wanted the opposite, pieces that felt familiar, soft, and full of small emotions. Once I started learning 3D modelling to print my own work, starting a brand around that feeling felt like the natural next step. The real question underneath it: could 3D printed objects become craft? Could digital making feel personal?
Digital making is everywhere, but it often feels optimised and cold, while people are increasingly craving small joys and rituals that feel personal rather than mass produced. Sunsies sat right in that tension. The strategy was to make digital craft feel intimate and joyful, positioning the brand between dopamine decor and nostalgic memory, with toy-like silhouettes, soft palettes, and objects meant to feel like tiny rituals rather than products.
The name itself carried that intention, tied to sunlight, snackable joy, and my own surname (Solés), which made it personal from the start.
The visual identity followed pastels that don't read too soft or boring, rounded type, friendly shapes, and a tone of voice that stayed warm and a little cheeky, never too polished.
I built the full Shopify e-commerce experience to match, from colour palette to product photography to copy tone.
Sunsies was never about scale, it was about testing whether digital making could create real emotional connection, and it proved that craft comes down to care, not material. Eventually I realised I loved the world-building and storytelling more than managing software and printers, and I've since closed Sunsies to follow that instinct toward working with my hands, for now.
