ThumbTack is a Social Media Management Web App designed to simplify and streamline the process of managing multiple social media accounts for businesses and individuals. This case study explores the user experience (UX) design process undertaken to create ThumbTack, highlighting the key challenges, methodologies employed, and the ultimate solution.

Background:

With the exponential growth of social media platforms, businesses and individuals face the challenge of managing their online presence effectively across multiple channels. ThumbTack aims to address this challenge by providing a centralized platform that enables users to schedule posts, monitor engagement, and analyze performance across various social media accounts.

User Research:

To begin the UX design process, extensive user research was conducted to gain a deep understanding of the target audience's needs, pain points, and preferences. This involved conducting user interviews and a competitive analysis of existing social media management tools. The research revealed the following key insights:
Users wanted a user-friendly and intuitive interface that simplifies the complex task of managing multiple social media accounts.
Users desired comprehensive scheduling and publishing capabilities to save time and ensure consistent messaging.
Users valued advanced analytics and reporting features to measure the effectiveness of their social media campaigns.

Information Architecture and Wireframing:

Based on the user research findings, an information architecture was developed to ensure a logical and intuitive structure for ThumbTack. This involved categorizing features and functionalities, determining the hierarchy, and organizing the navigation system. Low-fidelity wireframes were created to visualize the layout and flow of the application, allowing for early feedback and iteration.

Visual Design:
