The problem

Varti Studio is a Ukrainian UI/UX design agency. "Varti" means "worthy" in Ukrainian. They designed their own site in Figma: a dark, space-themed look with a turning planet, 3D objects and long project case studies. They needed it built on WordPress with every animation intact, every detail matching the design, and content they could edit.
Industry: Design agency Services: Custom WordPress theme, front-end development, animation, DNS and email setup Tools: WordPress, ACF, jQuery, WOW.js, Slick, Swiper, CSS 3D transforms

Let the planet sit on the page

The hero planet is Varti's own render. I used it as a transparent WebM video, so the planet, its orbit ring and the soft glow sit straight on the dark page instead of inside a rectangle. The headline and text stay real HTML on top, sharp and selectable.

Build the particle sphere from 340 dots

The footer animation is 340 one-pixel dots each get their own 3D keyframes: they fly out of the VA logo, form a sphere that turns on a 20-second loop, then drift outward and fade. It runs on CSS transforms, and a small script starts it only when the footer scrolls into view.

Give each project its own long-form page

The case template, like the Bookish reader app, runs from the brief through competitive research, personas, wireframes, colours and type to the final screens. It's built on ACF fields, so a new case is added from the WordPress admin.

Challenges along the way

Sliders on small screens: under 660 px the projects and industries rows become swipeable Slick carousels.
The sphere on phones: it scales with the viewport and switches to a fixed 100 px radius on mobile.
Email reaching inboxes: I set up SPF, DKIM and DMARC records for their Klaviyo sending.

Outcome

The site is live at varti-studio.com with the look Varti designed: the turning planet, scroll reveals and the particle footer on desktop and mobile. It carries an Awwwards Honors badge.

A dark, space-themed agency site on a custom WordPress theme: a planet turning in the hero, long-form case pages, and a particle sphere I coded in CSS.
