How I Fixed an Email Headache and Made Communication Actually Work

1. The Problem

Undisclosed Institute was stuck with a serious email issue: transactional emails sent via the Sana platform were ending up in spam. Communication with their partners? Practically nonexistent. Not great. My mission? Solve it, once and for all.

2. The Plan

To fix this, I needed the right tools:
Brevo: The go-to platform for setting up transactional emails from scratch.
GitHub: Perfect for managing code and keeping things organized.
The game plan was simple: build a custom solution on Brevo, optimize deliverability settings, and integrate it seamlessly with Sana.

3. Making It Happen

Built the Email System: I set up Brevo to handle all transactional emails with a focus on reliability and scalability.
Optimized Deliverability:
SPF? Check. Authorized the right senders.
DKIM? Double-check. Verified email authenticity.
DMARC? Absolutely. Protected the domain and tracked reports.
Integrated with Sana: Connected Brevo to the platform so everything ran smoothly.
And because I like keeping things clean, I managed all the scripts and settings on GitHub for easy updates and collaboration.

4. Testing & Tweaks

Brevo Testing: I ran tests to make sure emails were landing in inboxes, not the dreaded spam folder.
GitHub Updates: Tweaked and refined the scripts to ensure everything was airtight.

5. The Outcome

Spam Problem? Gone. Transactional emails are now landing where they’re supposed to.
Happy Partners: Communication is smooth, reliable, and frustration-free.
Future-Ready: The setup is scalable and built to handle whatever comes next.
