YoungStoryTellers is a Volunteer, Script-to-Stage program meets once a week for ten weeks, typically for an hour during unstructured school lunch time. Led by a volunteer Head Mentor, each session is a mixture of creative game play and one-on-one writing time. At the end of the mentorship, there is a BIG SHOW in which actors come out to perform the children’s scripts in front of their classmates. An additional BIGGEST SHOW is also held for those few that are selected out of the 900 scripts submitted at the end of the year.
I am pleased to announce that YoungStoryTellers have selected THE DEBATE OF FLAPJACK HILL by mentee, Ever Huerta and myself, mentor, Jean Himebaugh as one of the scripts that was be performed on October 21, 2016.
