A 60-second spec commercial built for Morphic's Super Bowl-style cinematic ad challenge, written to Nike's hyperrealistic photographic and editorial register. It isolates the single second before athletic greatness.

Morphic and Contra asked for a Super Bowl-grade cinematic spot — the format where a single minute has to carry a whole brand argument, and where the work is judged against the most expensive advertising made anywhere. Nike was the reference point: hyperrealistic, photographic, editorial. No room for a spot that reads as a technical demo.

The concept came first: it only takes one second, but it takes a lifetime to get there. The spot isolates the pause between exhale and action, where a lifetime of effort compresses into stillness.

The visual language suspends the athlete in Matrix-style bullet time, then breaks that stillness with ultra-wide cinematic slow motion and fast speed-ramped transitions. Directed and cut the piece end to end, generating source material through Morphic and NanoBanana and assembling, timing, and finishing in DaVinci Resolve.
