Print Yantra was born from a love for India’s artistic heritage and the power of print. Inspired by intricate Alpana designs, the brand seeks to bring this fading tradition into modern printing. With a vision to preserve and celebrate Indian art, it blends heritage with high-quality printing, offering home décor, wedding invitations, fabric, and many more. Sustainability is key, using eco-friendly inks and materials to honor both tradition and nature.

As the brand grew, it sought a stronger visual identity to reflect its passion and purpose. That’s when they approached me for a full brand redesign. From logo to digital branding, every element was crafted to tell Print Yantra’s story—where heritage meets innovation, and every print carries the soul of a timeless art form.

The Print Yantra logo beautifully integrates tradition with modern printing services, reflecting the brand’s essence. At its core, the logo features a stylized "P" intricately designed in the Alpana style, symbolizing the brand’s name and deep connection to traditional Indian art. This "P" is enclosed within a box, representing a sheet of paper or a printed page, emphasizing the brand’s focus on printing. Surrounding this box is an elegant spread of Alpana motifs, extending beyond its borders, signifying creativity, heritage, and the seamless blend of artistic expression with contemporary printing techniques. The overall design evokes a sense of cultural richness, craftsmanship, and the transformative power of print in preserving tradition.

Designed with perfect alignment and proportion, the logo ensures scalability and balance, maintaining clarity across applications. The wordmark, set in Grey Qo Regular, complements the intricate logo mark with its refined, contemporary elegance. The combination creates a cohesive identity—one that honors tradition while embracing modern print design.

The Print Yantra color palette is deeply rooted in tradition, drawing inspiration from the natural elements used in Alpana art across India.

Antique White represents Khori Mati (clay), the base ingredient for Alpana.

Pure Red embodies red soil and Sindur, both commonly seen in Alpana motifs.

Hunyadi Yellow is inspired by turmeric, sacred element in Indian rituals.

Caput Mortuum Brown reflects the earthy soil, where Alpana is often drawn.

Giants Orange signifies the topmost color of the Indian national flag, grounding the brand in its origin.

For typography, the brand strikes a balance between tradition and modernity. Headings feature the logo wordmark font, Grey Qo Regular, providing a unique and recognizable identity. Subheadings use Libre Baskerville Bold, a classic serif typeface, evoking the rich history of printed text and artistic craftsmanship. Body text and descriptions are set in Montserrat Regular, a clean sans-serif typeface, ensuring readability and a modern aesthetic, essential for the brand’s online presence as a web store.

The Print Yantra brand pattern is an artistic extension of its identity, created using the Alpana design style from the logo. Featuring flowing, symmetrical motifs inspired by hand-drawn Alpana, it captures the rhythmic beauty of this art form while ensuring a refined, versatile design.

The Print Yantra logo suite ensures versatility across both digital and print applications, maintaining a strong brand presence. Additionally, the suite features four mixed variations combining the logomark and wordmark for diverse branding needs, from packaging to online platforms. A simplified logomark with just the Alpana-style initial offers a compact yet recognizable option, preserving the brand’s artistic essence.
