Travel Defend — Website Optimization & Feature Enhancements

Travel Defend is a travel-insurance concierge service that helps travelers compare coverage from trusted providers, purchase the right plan, and get real human support through the entire claims process — including 24/7 WhatsApp emergency assistance, all at no extra cost. I came onto the existing site and improved it across performance, SEO, user experience, and marketing infrastructure to make it faster, more discoverable, and fully measurable.

The goal was to take a live, content-rich site and level it up: improve load speed and technical scores, strengthen search visibility, refine the front-end experience, and put proper tracking in place so marketing spend could be measured accurately — all without disrupting the brand or existing content.

On performance, I focused on optimization across the board — streamlining assets, serving images in modern formats, and tuning the front-end so the site loads fast and scores well on speed and Core Web Vitals.

On SEO, I refined the metadata across the site, including page titles, descriptions, Open Graph, and Twitter card tags, so pages are properly indexed and display rich, branded previews when shared on social platforms and messaging apps.

On UX and front-end, I polished the key conversion areas — the quote flow, the "How We Help" and step-by-step "Easy as 1,2,3" sections, the "Wall of Love" testimonials, and the trust indicators (BBB accreditation, 5-star Google rating, licensed & trusted badges) — and made sure everything stays clean and responsive across desktop and mobile.

On analytics and ad tracking, I set up Google Tag Manager and configured tracking so Travel Defend can measure traffic, conversions, and ad performance across their campaigns and understand exactly how visitors move through the site.
