Biomedical Innovators is a newsletter and community founded by M.S./J.D. Michael Bielski to help scientists, inventors, and doctors navigate patents and the commercialization of biomedical inventions. With no existing guidelines, I led a fast-track creative sprint to establish early branding and design explorations for the landing page.
I developed multiple versions of the site, testing variations in typography, color, and visual assets. Through this iterative process, I not only produced a polished and professional sign-up experience designed to resonate with researchers and academics, but also helped the founder crystallize the brand’s look, feel, and long-term creative direction. The work balanced scientific rigor with accessible design, setting a strong foundation for the community’s growth.
Version 1: Grid block layout showcasing potential biomedical device concepts
Version 2: The client had a copy-heavy landing page, and wanted to see how the page would look with minimal photography to reduce distraction. I opted for the shade of blue and typography to convey something simple and professional.
Version 3: This version shows the highlight copy in the front and center, while still utilizing the assets that were generated for version 1 & 2.
