Audiobook Concept App

Project Overview
The client came to me with a request: design a concept for a next-generation audiobook platform. The goal was to go beyond traditional playback and create a social, interactive experience around listening.

The Problem

Most audiobook experiences today focus on simple playback and library management. The client wanted to test whether a fresh interaction model could make audiobooks more discoverable and more engaging — especially for younger, mobile-first users.

Solution

I designed a mobile concept that combined:
Core listening experience (player, bookmarks, recaps)
Social features (friend activity feed, chat, reactions)
Interactive tools (discussion prompts, voice notes, podcast-style recaps)

Key Features

Home feed: Continue listening, friend activity, and book discovery
Interactive player: Playback controls, scrub notes, quick recap button
Social discussion: In-app chat, voice/video snippets, and guided prompts
Podcast mode: Turn highlights into recap episodes with custom hosts

Outcome

This concept successfully demonstrated how audiobooks could become more engaging and communal. While not launched, the prototype helped the client validate their vision and explore future opportunities for audio learning.
