Client: A2Z College Consulting

The Problem: Dr. Christopher Vick had outgrown his Squarespace template’s limited options. He also wanted to give life to his branding with a new logo.
The Solution: I designed a website after analyzing his references and performing competitor research of top admissions programs. I developed a design that was cleanly organized, but visually exciting with some pop, to cater to both parents and students.

Phase 1: Research & Wireframes

Client provided a couple of websites from other professionals in his field, and I also looked to top competitor agencies. I analyzed the layout of the home pages for each reference site, to determine where certain key information points should be according to user expectations.
After aligning the client's copy to my findings, I designed low-fidelity wireframes with a focus on his success thus far and organized service information.

Phase 2: Design

The client's logo, which I designed prior to this website, features bold orange-yellow and blue colors. Bold color usage was also used by the client's competitors, with modern style and engaging graphic elements. The client's users are a combination of students and their guardians, so going bold was further encouraged.
While I aimed for bold visuals, the focus on organized content was still a priority. The client had many testimonials and success stories, and these needed to be displayed in an easily digestible way.

Phase 3: Webflow Development

The client requested a booking app and a scrolling marquee of schools that his students found admissions to. I selected the schools with the widest name recognition and created the marquee, and integrated a Calendly embedded app.
The user base is a combination of both younger students and their parents or guardians. I added a couple of nifty animations, but left the rest as simple transitions. This gives the site a little "pop" without being overly dramatic. Users will be here to review services and testimonials before making a decision to book, so I did not want to scare them away with too many fancy effects.
The table of schools was also converted into a slider for mobile devices, for quicker browsing on the site. There are also two contact forms.
