Without Saying, Poem

Emily Suire

Emily Suire

It goes without saying that I know
All the feelings you portrayed were just for show
And it goes without saying that I felt alone
Even though I lived in our shared home
You turned all the days into nights
While all I did was beg for fights
Any semblance to show you cared
Could have filled my lungs back up with air
It goes without saying that I needed more
Than someone pretending to love me to the core
You pulled me out of darkness just throw me back down
Then you buried me deeper into the ground
I bought all the lies that you sold
I soaked them right up like they were treasures to hold
But the thing about treasure is that its better untouched
Just like the messes you loved to create so much
