Kanye West X McDonald's Collab

Inspiration 🍔

Taking inspiration from the Travis Scott, J Balvin, and BTS meals at McDonald's, I decided to create my own: The Yeezy Meal. I created a few advertisements for the unofficial collaboration and posted them on Twitter and Instagram. I did hours of research on McDonald's and Kanye's branding. The meal featured in this collaboration is Kanye's actual favorite meal at McDonald's!



The image of the man falling comes from Kanye's Yeezus tour. I wanted to do a play on words with yeezy/easy and I decided to make this the main tagline for this collab. This was the more artistic poster in this series, as I wanted to incorporate my personal style as well.



For this poster, I took the cover art for the Yeezus album and edited a custom McDonald's X Yeezus logo on top. I modified McDonald's slogan to make it fit with Kanye's theme of loving himself. Lastly, I designed the main logo for the collab by taking the font associated with the Yeezy branding and combining it with the iconic red and yellow colors from McDonald's.



I designed this with the intent to post on Instagram. I took inspiration from Kanye's The Life of Pablo Album and shaped the text to fit the iconic branding from the associated tour.



This poster mimics the classic McDonald's branding includes the Yeezy Meal in the center. With the iconic red and yellow color pallet, this ad would fit perfectly inside a McDonald's. I researched Kanye's favorite meal to order from McDonald's and based this poster on those menu items.



I found this image of Kanye grabbing his meal from the McDonald's drive-thru and wanted to design a retro-inspired ad from it. I made sure to incorporate his song lyrics and the catchphrase for this collab, as well as the McDonald's X Yeezus logo. The typefaces and textures were a popular staple in design from several decades ago, as I wanted to keep this authentic.



Lastly, I took this photo from Kanye's Saint Pablo Tour and added the Yeezy X McDonald's logo. The quote on top is from Kanye's song "Facts." I wanted a simple poster to promote the logo and tease what's to come from this collaboration.
