When Alex discovered my profile on Framer's Creator Marketplace and reached out via Contra, he sought a website that would reflect Helogen's innovative spirit while maintaining a clean and minimalist aesthetic. The goal was to design a user-friendly platform that effectively communicated their core capabilities and partnerships.
Design Objectives
Minimalist Aesthetic: Develop a simple, clean, and impressive design that aligns with Helogen's forward-thinking brand.
Comprehensive Content Structuring: Create a multi-page website to showcase the company's mission, core capabilities, partnerships, and news updates.
Enhanced User Experience: Incorporate microinteractions to engage visitors and improve navigation.
Dynamic Content Management: Implement a CMS for seamless management of news articles and updates.
Approach
Homepage Design:
Visual Hierarchy: Crafted a layout that immediately conveys Helogen's mission and unique value proposition, using concise messaging and impactful visuals.
Partner Highlights: Highlighted key collaborations to reinforce credibility and showcase the impact of their research partnerships.
Core Capabilities: Presented their primary services—High-Throughput Screening & Drug Discovery, Oncology & Late-Onset Disease research, and Biopolymer & Engineered Biology—in a clear and accessible manner.
Microinteractions:
Integrated subtle animations and hover effects to guide user attention and create an engaging browsing experience without overwhelming the minimalist design.
Content Management System (CMS):
Implemented Framer's CMS functionality to allow Helogen's team to easily add, edit, and manage news articles and updates, ensuring the website remains current and informative.
Additional Pages:
Designed supplementary pages (to be launched soon) that maintain the site's cohesive aesthetic, providing deeper insights into Helogen's projects, team, and contact information.
Outcome
Live Homepage: The homepage is currently live, effectively communicating Helogen's mission and services through a minimalist design.
