Journey

VenueNext's journey began with a groundbreaking partnership with the San Francisco 49ers, which marked the launch of the impressive Levi's Stadium. Their primary objective was to create an all-in-one venue app, which would provide customers with a seamless experience from the moment they set foot in the stadium. This comprehensive app aimed to offer a plethora of features, including but not limited to getting into the venue, navigating the facility, finding parking, ordering food, accessing team stats, playing games, and even getting home after the game. This ambitious vision was fueled by the desire to enhance the overall fan experience and revolutionize the way people engage with live events.

Challenge

Despite promising beginnings, we noticed over time that our customers were seeking a mobile ordering solution but were hesitant to download yet another app, leaving them unfulfilled. To compound matters, customers often experienced friction when trying to place their mobile orders. Issues like inconsistent Wi-Fi connectivity and subpar mobile app usability contributed to a disheartening increase in user abandonment rate.
Moreover, we recognized that our existing ordering experience was cumbersome to replicate across multiple venues, impeding our company's potential profits and limiting growth prospects. These challenges posed significant obstacles to our success, compelling us to re-evaluate our product design strategy and develop innovative solutions that would enhance the overall customer experience.

Resolution

Our company firmly believes that customers crave the convenience of mobile ordering without the hassle of installing yet another app. To address this need, we have developed a cutting-edge solution - mobile web ordering - which offers a more streamlined and accessible approach. Our technology enables easy integration into existing stadium or team apps, or it can be utilized as a standalone website. Once an order is placed, it is seamlessly sent to the kitchen for preparation and can be picked up or delivered at the customer's convenience. Furthermore, our unique QR codes can deep link directly into specific menus or items, further enhancing the overall ordering experience.
Our innovative approach has already yielded impressive results, with multiple new venues in new markets signing up to use our platform. Thanks to our intuitive design, new customers are able to get up and running in a fraction of the time it would take with traditional mobile ordering apps. Consumer feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with many praising the ease of use and increased mobile revenue. Additionally, our company has embraced a common design language, ensuring consistency across all aspects of our platform and improving the user experience for everyone.
With the help of our new mobile ordering solution, VenueNext has gone on to become a leader in venue point of sale and loyalty and in 2021 was acquired by Shift4 Payments.
