🔔 Note: This is a hypothetical project example (for now 😉) based on the type of work I can do for solopreneurs like Katherine Morgan Schafler. While Katherine isn’t an actual client, this example showcases how I could repurpose existing content into high-impact, short-form pieces such as video reels, quotes, and social media posts.
Example Project Overview
Mock Client: Katherine Morgan Schafler (Example)
Service: Content Repurposing
Industry: Psychotherapist, Keynote Speaker, Author / Mental Health & Wellness
"Give me the TLDR" aka "Too Long Didn't Read"
Katherine has tons of amazing content out there—podcast interviews, articles, even a book—but like most solopreneurs, she’s too busy to keep creating new stuff. I stepped in to repurpose her existing content into high-impact, short-form pieces like video reels, quotes, and social media posts. This is perfect for solopreneurs who want to stay visible online but don’t have the time (or desire) to be constantly recording new content.
Common Challenges:
Note that these are assumptions for the purpose of this project example.
⏰ No Time: Katherine’s schedule is packed, so she didn’t have the bandwidth to create fresh content regularly.
🙆🏼♀️ Maximizing Existing Content: Katherine has already invested a lot of time and effort into creating her content, so it’s crucial to extract as much value as possible from it without diminishing its original quality or message.
🎥 Need for Video: Short-form videos are key to staying relevant online, but producing them takes time and effort that Katherine couldn’t spare.
🔑 Maintaining Consistency: With a variety of content sources (podcasts, articles, book excerpts), it’s challenging to maintain a consistent brand voice and message across different platforms and formats.
The Action Plan
🔎 CONTENT AUDIT
Dug through Katherine’s existing content—podcasts, articles, book excerpts—to find the gems that could be turned into bite-sized, engaging pieces.
For example:
🎤 Podcast Episode: Katherine’s interview on The Minimalist Podcast
📝 Blog Articles: Her blog is a treasure trove of valuable insights. Articles like "The 4 Questions We're All Unconsciously Asking"
📚 Book: The Perfectionist’s Guide to Losing Control was a goldmine for repurposing. I extracted popular highlights from the Kindle version, which resonated strongly with her readers, and turned these into shareable quotes on social media posts.
2. 💡 REPURPOSING STRATEGY
Before diving into creating content, I made sure to understand Katherine’s brand's look and feel, as well as her brand guidelines. This ensured that all repurposed content would be consistent with her established identity and messaging.
And then, dove right into creating:
🎥 Short-Form Reels: Pulled out the best moments from her podcast to create attention-grabbing short-form reels incorporating best practices (clean captions, removing pauses and silences, etc.) Here are 2 examples:
❝ Static Posts (Quotes): Identified popular highlights from her book (a Kindle feature) and turned them into clean, simple static posts - perfect for sharing on social media. Additionally, I took an excerpt from one of her long-form articles and created a static post from it, providing her audience with bite-sized, valuable content that drives engagement.
📆 Content Ideas: While putting together these content pieces, I got a bit carried away and the ideas just kept flowing. 😉 To house them all, I created a detailed content ideas document outlining ideas for both repurposing existing content and incorporating new, fresh content. Documented in a Google Sheet for easy access, this calendar covers three months and includes plans for eight content pieces per month. It provides a strategic overview and additional details, making it easy for Katherine to maintain a consistent posting schedule.
🗒️ Deliverables
Content Creation: Produced 6 ready-to-post content pieces, including 2 reels and 4 static posts. Each piece was carefully crafted to align with Katherine’s brand and messaging.
Future Planning: Developed 19 additional content ideas for future months, providing a strategic roadmap for ongoing content creation and engagement.
Content Management System: Implemented a content management system using Google Drive to house all content assets, making them easily accessible and organized. This system included all content pieces, suggested captions, and posting instructions.
Visual Consistency: Created an Instagram Feed mockup to ensure a cohesive and on-brand visual presentation. This mockup helped maintain a consistent aesthetic across Katherine’s social media profile.
Reel Covers: Designed cover images for the reels, ensuring they were visually appealing and aligned with the overall brand style for effective posting.

Note: This is an example of how I share my content with clients. Depending on the client's preference, I can also use Notion, Asana, or Trello for content management.
Takeaway
This project demonstrates how repurposing content can be a game-changer for busy solopreneurs like Katherine. Long-form content was transformed into short-form videos and other high-impact pieces, helping her stay active online without the constant grind of creating new content.
