Cindy Vindasius is a financial consultant and advisor who helps companies lead and support a variety of projects which involve financial systems, process and technical accounting.
She wanted to transition her business from hands on project management and consulting to being a specialist to be hired to help define projects and goals.
Cindy wanted a website that would allow individuals looking for her expertise to be able to find her. She also wanted to have a platform where she can blog or post short video blogs about the types of projects she has worked on to help people understand what she does and the value she provides for hypergrowth companies.

Project Goals

When we started working together, Cindy had a website on Wix that was outdated in terms of design. In her own words, she was ashamed of her current website, felt like it was too sterile, and didn’t accurately reflect her expertise or her energetic and upbeat personality.
She wanted a website that:
→ Had a professional but still edgy and bold look that accurately reflects her high vibe energy
Defines well what she does, highlights projects she has worked on, and shows high-profile clients she has worked with
Gives her a platform where she can share blogs and videos to demonstrate her expertise

The Process

Step 1: Brand Interview

We started off with a detailed brand interview where Cindy filled me in on the vision for her website as well as the goals she has for business for the next 6 months.

Step 2: Visual Direction & Strategy

After getting clear on the project goals, I started working on the mood board that would serve as a visual direction for the design. I mapped out her customer journey and website strategy.

Step 3: Brand Design

With the mood board complete, I started working on Cindy’s brand which included revised logo design, color palette, and typography curation. Cindy already had a logo she was using but felt it could use a breath of fresh air to make it more modern and appealing to her target audience.

Step 4: Website Design

Once Cindy approved the brand design, it was time to work on her Squarespace website design. This included migrating her domain from Wix to Squarespace, writing her website copy, and curating stock images for her new website.

Colors & Fonts

Cindy wanted to keep the green and blue she already was using in her brand but wanted a refreshed, more energetic look. I kept the dark blue she had and replaced the green with turquoise. Since Cindy wanted a color that denotes her highly energetic and optimistic nature, we added orange as the accent color. The entire palette was completed with a subtle off-white color to balance out the strong colors Cindy wanted.
I chose Freight Display Pro and Freight Sans Pro as the font pairs for the website. The combination is clean and elegant, helping to maintain the polished and professional look.

Logo Designs

For the logo, the original typeface was changed from a serif to a non-serif, geometric typeface that gives a more youthful and approachable look while still looking professional.

Website Design

I brought together the color palette, finished logo designs, fonts, and curated photos to design a Squarespace website that leads Cindy’s clients through an intentional customer journey.
By building a clear path from highlighting what Cindy has to offer to her story and submitting an inquiry, I ensured that only the right-fit clients would get in touch with Cindy.
The finished website combines the following key elements:
Core website pages: Home, About, Services, Contact,
Testimonials throughout the website so Cindy can show the results she has gotten for her clients
Blog page that makes it easy for Cindy to share her expertise and allows her ideal clients to get to know her better
The end result is a modern and bold website that still feels professional, showcases Cindy’s offers, and reflects her personality to a T.

“This has been such a huge blocker for me and I am so glad to have found you. I really think who "I" am, who my audience is, and what I do comes across very well! You nailed it! Bravo!!”
