Background

TC is LATAM's largest investment community, we want to go beyond sharing ideas. Our vision is to be a one-stop shop for investments.
Understanding the adherence of our customers, increasing the number of new users, and opening a new source of revenue that is more scalable than the current one.
As Product Design Lead my role was to build the initial concept and macro strategy, and also guide all operational tasks so that Designers had the autonomy to make their own decisions.

Goals

1 - Understand the adherence of our customers

We need to gain a better understanding of how our clients engage with us and what motivates them. By doing so, we can provide a more personalized and simple experience for Brazilian investors. We aim to identify the challenges that investors face and offer tailored solutions to meet their needs. This will enhance their overall experience with us.

2 - Open a new source of revenue

We need to solve a major problem with our subscription revenue model, as 25% of our customers have been churning. One of our key hypotheses for a scalable solution is to explore transaction fees.

3 - Increase the user engagement

Validate the impact of integrating community features on cryptocurrency investment resources and engagement metrics. Will Copy Trade improve engagement stickiness?

Solutions

1 - Launch MercadoBitcoin as a Crypto Partner

We integrate cryptocurrency transactions powered by Mercado Bitcoin into our community features like Feed and Chat, providing a reliable way for investors to trade cryptocurrencies.

2 - Copy Trade and operations automation

The platform offers a feature that allows users to replicate trades of experienced and verified experts. Users can track the trade history, yield, portfolio, and other relevant information of these experts to make informed decisions when it comes to investing in high-risk assets such as cryptocurrencies. This feature provides a level of ease and convenience for users who want to benefit from the knowledge and experience of these trusted experts without having to develop such expertise themselves.

3 - Our product vision: TC Investments

We can learn from this project and apply this knowledge to our product vision, the variety of investment assets is key information to validate the product, we need the ocean blue to make this product profitable. In this scenario is necessary to expand to stocks, funds, and other types of assets traded on B3, the Brazilian stock market.

Conclusion

The introduction of the Copy Trade feature at TC is a significant milestone in our journey to become the leading investment community in LATAM. By proactively addressing the needs of our customers and market trends, we have not only improved user engagement but also diversified our revenue streams through transaction fees. As we move forward, we are committed to expanding our product vision by incorporating a broader range of investment assets, which will solidify our position as the go-to destination for investors across Brazil.
