3D Token Animation for a Learning Platform
About The Client
Our client is a learning platform where kids login, create their avatars, and earn tokens to dress up their avatars as they go through their learning paths. They wanted a 3D token animated that would rotate when kids completed their courses.
Brainstorming Process
Right of the bat, the client wanted the name of the token to be on one side with a light bulb on the other side. Based off of that, concepts where created in Illustrator of how the faces could possibly look.

This was later narrowed down with the word "Lumen" and the light bulb image as the faces and 6-doted BluePrint as the boarder.
Animation & 3D Process
Everything was brought from Illustrator into After Effects for color and motion. They later added the wanted geometric line around the word "Lumen".

Based off of further feedback, the token got a major uplift. Such as the geometric lines, speed of rotation, thickness of coin, and glow.

New Face
The client had wanted to upgrade the light bulb design to look more blueprint as well as. And add in the geometric lines for styling to be more cohesive.
