Joana Malaquias is a wedding videographer who captures the happiest day of a couple’s life, creating a way to relive it—not only for those who were present but also for future generations.
To reflect the evolution of her work and connect with a higher-end audience, it was necessary to elevate the final product delivery and align the visual identity with this new phase of the brand. The challenge was to create a clear and engaging communication that conveys professionalism without losing the elegant, discreet, and joyful essence that defines her.
During the alignment meeting, Joana shared a powerful phrase: “A wedding is the eternal vow to love another person in front of everyone who matters in your life.” This truth guides her films, often narrated by the couple themselves, where the written word becomes a key element in the brand’s storytelling.
The visual identity reflects this essence, using Garamond Premier Pro as the primary typeface. Chosen for its classic aesthetics and hand-written flow, it reinforces the concept of stories written in motion. The brand’s symbol—a quill—evokes the timeless vows often written on paper.
The color palette draws inspiration from medieval writing pigments. Malachite Green and Pearl White bring elegance, while Parchment and Terre Verte add a subtle balance. Charcoal and Ochre were added as contrasting tones.
To enhance the feeling of flow and movement, a marbled pattern inspired by the malachite stone was created and applied across both print and digital materials. In the videos, this fluidity comes to life through image composition and the narration of vows.
