Design Bench - AI-Powered Design System Analyzer

Design Bench is a self-initiated SaaS product that helps companies and design teams see how their visual identity compares to competitors. It pulls a competitor's site, extracts structured design data, and turns that into a clear, actionable report: the same "raw input to structured, reportable output" pipeline I build for clients, applied here to a design-analysis use case.
What I did
Built an automated extraction pipeline that pulls a competitor's URL and parses out colors, typography, spacing, and other visual tokens (via the Dembrandt CLI)
Built an AI analysis layer (Claude API) that turns raw design data into personalized differentiation recommendations
Built automated PDF report generation (WeasyPrint and Jinja2 templates) for shareable, professional output
Built the full product around it: React, Vite, and TailwindCSS frontend, FastAPI backend with JWT auth, async processing with Celery and Redis, PostgreSQL database, all containerized with Docker
Implemented a freemium model with Stripe subscriptions (webhooks, billing) plus production-ready rate limiting and security
Outcome A live, deployed SaaS product, with a working free and paid tier, that turns an unstructured input (a competitor's website) into a structured, decision-ready report: the same extract, structure, and report logic used in client analytics engineering work.
