We were excited to find a forward-thinking company like Superior Concrete. A young entrepreneur stuck inside an older generation-led industry was the perfect origin story for this project. Superior Concrete is based in Elgin, IL and the founder is a second generation concrete worker. He’s spent many years working for his father and sized the opportunity to do things very differently.

Objectives

Superior Concrete needed branding that represented the future of their industry, but also retained the familiarity of the craft. It was a challenge balancing the two, but that tension led to some interesting solutions.

Goals: • Create a polished brand to compliment their premium quality services. • Develop a website with integrated, user-friendly lead generation software • Create customer funnels for email marketing.

Process

Creating a functional brand guide was the first step. The logo system was created with versatility in mind, the goal was to create logos that were effective in both digital and print applications.

Superior Concrete’s primary target market is first time homeowners or remodel projects in Chicago’s northwest suburbs. Their premium service approach needed to be reinforced with quality visuals, copywriting & brand expression. They go above & beyond with all of their projects, we wanted to capture that for their brand. Additionally, there was a customer funnel developed that would automate leads and manage lead generation through third-party software. Automating this essential part of the business would free up much needed time to focus on other areas. Something this startup really needed for their growth.

Takeaways

Collaborating on this project with this 24-year-old, Mexican entrepreneur was an honor. Few people like him have the opportunity to take on such a monstrous task of starting a business. We worked hard to make sure we provided quality assets and resources for his journey as a business owner. We share this because stories like these are the reason we do what we do.
