I created a video where I tested a forgotten Nigerian-made web browser created back in 2015 by two Nigerian teenage siblings known as Anesi Ikhianosime and Osine Ikhianosime. The web browser they created is known as Crocodile Browser and this browser made headlines back in 2015 and at the time, the browser amassed over 40,000 downloads. However, the app is no longer available to download on the Google PlayStore and the last update given to the browser was back in 2020 hence why the app is declared as forgotten.
Now the app is still usable in 2024 and works pretty well and can do anything any browser can do. The browser is fast and it is small in size but however, one drawback to the browser is that it does not have the ability to download anything and will instead, redirect you to another browser should you need to download anything. The browser also has other extensions like an ad blocker and a separate privacy oriented browser(which is currently impossible to use).
I was pleased with using the browser for the first time since it was made. I just hope that the creators can bring back the browser to some capacity so that more users can enjoy what they have built. Anyways, if you would like to use Crocodile Browser, you can download it here. You can also view my video of the browser as well;
