A Customized Weather App for Metric System Adjustment
I developed Unity Weather, a personalized weather app designed to assist my wife and me in our transition to France from the United States. The primary challenge was to familiarize ourselves with the metric system, Celsius temperature readings, and other similar adjustments.
Problem
The main issue was the difficulty in rapidly adjusting to a new system of measurements, particularly in weather conditions. We needed an app that could display measurements in both the familiar and new systems simultaneously for easy comparison and understanding.
My Contributions
As the Founder and Developer, I utilized my skills in API Integration, Data Visualization, Expo, iOS, React Native, Swift, and SwiftUI. The app was initially built using React Native and was available on both the App Store and Google Play. Later, I redesigned and rebuilt the iOS version using Swift/SwiftUI, with plans to include widgets.
