Project Overview: The client was managing over 300,000 email sends per day across multiple brands using different ESPs. Their biggest challenge was the lack of centralized visibility across campaigns—leading to data silos, inconsistent reporting, and delays in decision-making. To solve this, I designed and built a custom Email Campaign Analytics Dashboard in Retool that aggregates, visualizes, and monitors real-time campaign performance across all brands and ESPs.
Key Features & Deliverables:
Unified Dashboard: A single interface that consolidates metrics from multiple ESPs (opens, clicks, unique clicks, bounces, etc.) for fast and easy monitoring.
ESP Integration: Built custom connectors to ingest campaign data from services like SendGrid, Mailgun, and Amazon SES via their APIs.
Brand-Level Insights: Enabled campaign filtering and aggregation by brand, date range, campaign name, and ESP—providing tailored insights for different teams.
Real-Time Metrics: Displays total sends, open rates, and click-through rates updated daily, allowing for faster optimization and response.
Performance Breakdown: Tabular and visual views of each campaign’s performance metrics, with status indicators and custom sorting logic.
Secure User Access: Role-based access control for internal users based on their team or brand access level.
Outcome: The dashboard eliminated manual data compilation, reduced reporting time by over 90%, and gave marketing stakeholders clear, actionable insights within seconds. It empowered the client to make faster, data-driven decisions and optimize their campaigns with precision.
