Task: IKEA Indonesia wants to migrate from Universal Analytics to Google Analytics 4 on their e-commerce website.
Approach phase: Assess requirements, draft KPI frameworks, and specify tagging plans (including dataLayer) with rigor.
Deployment Phase:
1. Google Tag Manager Integration:
On the client side, the client's developer team will implement the dataLayer to the website. On my side, I will run a quality assessment to ensure the dataLayer is available on the website. Once the dataLayer is set, I will configure the GTM and ensure the data is sent to the GA4 property.
2. Google Analytics 4:
Perform a quality check to ensure that all the new event data is sent to GA4.
Result: Successfully implemented 21 custom events and e-commerce events on the e-commerce website.
