Task: A London-based travel website has requested assistance in implementing enhanced e-commerce tracking for their Woocommerce website using GA4 and Google Tag Manager.
Approach Phase: Assess requirements, draft KPI frameworks, and specify tagging plans.
Deployment Phase:
1. Google Tag Manager Integration: Use GTM4WP plugin to integrate Google Tag Manager into the website, enable enhanced e-commerce settings, and run quality assessments to ensure dataLayer availability. Once everything is ready, we will set up the ecommerce event and other events on Google Tag Manager.
2. Google Analytics 4:Perform quality check to ensure new event data is sent to GA4.
Result: Successfully implemented 14 custom events and ecommerce events on the website.
