DryKing Tourism Career - Connecting Talents with the Hospitality Industry

Dryking set out to digitize the fragmented and outdated job application processes in the tourism and hospitality sector. The industry suffers from high employee turnover, seasonal fluctuations, and a lack of centralized platforms for recruitment, especially for roles like housekeeping, reception, and waitstaff.

Key Challenges

Build a scalable UX for job seekers and employers alike
Allow corporate HR departments to manage hundreds of listings and candidates efficiently
Create a seamless experience for users with low digital literacy
Design interfaces for job postings, event publishing, article creation, and application tracking — all under one roof
Make it visually friendly while data-dense and functional

Project Objectives

Create a frictionless job search experience for candidates with quick apply features
Build an enterprise-grade dashboard for hotels, resorts, and hospitality chains
Design a robust admin CMS for Dryking staff to manage users, subscriptions, and content
Focus on mobile responsiveness and low cognitive load for mass-market usability
Enable fast switching between roles (candidate, HR, Dryking admin) with consistent UX

Process & Solutions

1. Research & Discovery
We interviewed job seekers, HR managers, and Dryking’s internal content team. We found:
Candidates preferred applying with one click rather than long CV uploads.
HR teams wanted filterable pools of candidates, sortable by location, rating, and availability.
Admin teams needed flexible control over packages, user roles, and published content.
2. Landing Page Design
We created a bold, modern, welcoming homepage focused on:
Emotional appeal (“Catch your dream, career opportunity”)
Search-first UX with location and category filters
Showcase of benefits, popular searches, and seamless CV creation
3. Dashboard Architecture
The dashboard was designed as a modular system with reusable components and layouts, including:
Job Posting System (edit, view, duplicate, manage visibility)
Event & Article Management
Candidate Pool with advanced filters (CV, location, work type, star rating)
Messaging Module between HR and applicants
Corporate Membership Package Controls
4. Scalable Component Library
To support the 70+ pages, we created a full design system in Figma with:
Inputs, badges, buttons, cards, and user tags
Light and soft UI language using white space and card-based content blocks
Focused on clarity over decoration — especially in table-heavy views like candidate lists

Goals

Reduce job application time to under 1 minute
Allow HR teams to publish, manage, and filter job posts with zero dev help
Provide a user-friendly CMS for Dryking admins
Build a tourism-specific UX that feels native to the industry

Result

+80% higher job application rate after launch
Over 1,000 jobs and 500+ candidates onboarded in the first 3 months
Internal HR teams praised the “Kanban View” for its clarity and speed
Scalable UX system now used in ongoing feature rollouts
Dashboard praised by both corporate HR clients and government partners
