The image shows my process of analyzing text data from handwritten diagnostic assessments during my facilitation practice.
My PhD in Health Sciences Education used a mixed-methods action research approach. I facilitated undergraduate biological anthropology and investigated ways in which I could improve the curriculum so that it aligns with the real world of work and encourages authentic learning.
One of my biggest contributions to the field is the novel diagnostic assessment writing task, conducted instead of before and after acceptance surveys. The data from these tasks was used to inform improvements in the curriculum, with regards to teaching human evolution.
