UI Component Library - Boosted feature delivery & led to an exit

I was hired by Weebly to start a new team of Design Engineers tasked with developing reusable components for the engineering team. These components were used to develop Weebly’s new Dashbord and Website Builder and lead to an $350M+ acquisition by Square in 2018.

Post acquisition, we worked with Square designers to align our branding styles and UX patterns to make a cohesive experience across Square’s various mobile, web and app based platforms. Our decision making in constructing our components made this task easy, and we were able to convert the entire Weebly platform to a new design style in a matter of weeks.
