✍🏼 The Approach

For disclaimer, this is a passion project. The brief is from @brand.brief on Instagram. Although this was a passion project, I approached it with the same professionalism as I would for a client. I conducted research into the coffee brand or coffee shop industry to understand what customers seek when choosing coffee brands as well as the current trend in coffee brand/coffee shop/cafe design.

In my design process, instead of directly searching for some ideas and inspiration on Pinterest, I usually do the word mapping first to gain some insights. I feel that in order to truly understand the brand, I have to list words that resonate with the brand.
The logo features a character and heart shaped coffee bean. The character with a smiling face radiates warmth, friendliness and a welcoming vibe. At the center of the character's chest is a heart-shaped coffee bean, symbolizing the love and passion for coffee.
The visual assets draw inspiration from coffee shop menus, embracing a hand-drawn style to align with current trends in coffee shop branding. This style not only adds a unique and authentic feel but also resonates with the contemporary preference for personalized and handcrafted aesthetics in coffee shop branding, enhancing the overall customer experience.
