The Admissions Yield Campaign was a social media campaign designed to engage incoming Flagler College students and positively impact their college decision-making process. The campaign took place from January 2021 to May 2021, leading up to National Decision Day for high school seniors.

Goal

The spring is a crucial time for admitted students to make their college attendance decisions. Our goal with this campaign was to retain the number of admitted students and increase the chances of deposit before the May 1st, 2021 deadline. This would ensure that we have an adequate or above-average number of students committed for the fall 2021 semester.

Strategy

Each student that was admitted to Flagler College for the 2021-2022 school year was added to a private Facebook group called the Flagler College Class of 2025. We utilized this group to push out engaging content and interact with students over the months of February - May to positively impact their college commitment decision.

Content

Content that was posted to the Class of 2025 Facebook group ranged from 'Throwback Thursday content to showcase the college's history, to highlights of academics, student activities, and a series of interesting tidbits called #FunFactFridays. Every piece was crafted with brief copywriting that engaged the students with questions and conversation starters, encouraging them to converse within the group. Our top-performing content consisted of picturesque views of the college, as well as specific features of student clubs on campus.
