During my time as the Social Media Manager for Glowout Salons, a spray tanning salon located in Chicago, I had the opportunity to dive deep into the world of content creation and strategy. Managing social media for a salon like Glowout allowed me to combine creativity and analytics to drive results that exceeded our expectations.

From day one, my focus was on creating a cohesive digital strategy to boost the salon's visibility across all social media platforms. I worked with the team to build comprehensive content calendars through tools like Monday.com and Later, ensuring all posts were aligned with the brand's marketing goals.

I produced a variety of engaging content, including Instagram Reels and Stories, which performed particularly well. My expertise in video production played a crucial role as I organized shoots and edited clips optimized for Instagram Reels, which became one of our top-performing content types.

Throughout this journey, I closely monitored performance metrics, adjusting our strategy based on real-time data. Our goal was to increase reach and engagement, especially with non-followers, and the results spoke for themselves. In June 2024 alone, 85.2% of the accounts we reached were non-followers, and our overall reach skyrocketed by 256% compared to previous months. This success wasn’t limited to just short-term growth; over the past 90 days, we saw our reach increase to 21,100 accounts, driven by a combination of organic and paid strategies.

Looking back, I’m proud of how we transformed Glowout’s online presence, turning data-driven insights into creative campaigns that resonated with our audience. The past year was a rewarding challenge, and the impact we've made on Glowout's digital presence is something I’ll carry with me as I continue to grow in my social media career!
