Descend. Whispers of the Lake
The idea behind the project was to design a single level lakefront house, on a sloping terrain towards the lake. The house "descends" towards the lake, paying respect to the natural topography, landscape and the lake. The form is composed of two "shifted" squared volumes, separating the living areas and the sleeping areas, but with a common communication. The living area and kitchen is an open plan design and it also features a fireplace and large windows all over the two sides that overlook the lake, exposing the users of the space towards the beautiful landscape. An exterior staircase leads the user to the deck under the main house which opens towards the lake, provoking an intimate moment between nature and man.
