Project Overview

This case study documents the evolution of a personal art studio brand, from its experimental origins as Whisky Arts to the refined, gallery-grade identity of Christopher Brian Arts. It traces three phases of creative growth: the expressive beginnings, the strategic limitations that demanded change, and the intentional refinement that shaped the brand into what it is today.

01 — The Origin: Whisky Arts

Whisky Arts began as an experimental creative outlet. The identity was expressive and personality-driven, built around symbolism rather than long-term scalability. At its inception, the brand functioned as a hobby, not a strategic platform.

02 — Identifying the Limitation

As the work matured, the original name and visual system no longer reflected the direction of the practice. The identity limited perceived professionalism and expansion potential.
A more structured foundation was required to support growth.

03 — The Refinement

The redesign focused on simplifying the composition, refining proportions, and introducing cleaner typography. Decorative elements were reduced to create a more cohesive and adaptable mark.
