Negative perception of children that come from single households.
A single-parent child has many negative perceptions of how they view life. At times this
child thinks that everyone is against him/her (Zartler, 2014). Even though friends might help in
correcting the person, he/she feels that that is abusive the friends are mocking him/her either
physically or mentally. At times the child might suffer from psychiatric disease (Jauch C., 1977).
One of the common reasons why there are single parenting is because of a divorce, this
when the two parents break their covenant, they made of living together, this way it affects the
child by limiting the child some of the basic needs that both of parents were providing. As a
result of this the child might think of using an abusive drugs like bhang and cocaine in relieving
the stress and pain that he/she is undergoing (Webster-Stratton, 1990).
A single-parent child is always feeling discriminated by friends they are having, they
think that the reason for their parents departing is because of him/her and therefore that child is
living in life of regretful (Cheng, 2023).
A single parent child is always having some challenges lets say homework, sometimes
the father was the one helping the child in doing the assignments they were given by the teacher
in school, when this same parents perishes or dies, the morale this child was having with gradual
time it will cease, and the performance for this child will go low until to the point the teacher will
cane this student and this might cause a huge problem since the child might run away from
school and also at home and will bring stress to the single parent who also have some burden in
terms of stabilizing the needs to the family (Fuller ML., 1986).
In conclusion, a single-parent child should try as much possible to understand the
situation of their parent and he/she should at least help the parent in terms of financial support,
and to parents, they should try as much as possible not allow divorce wife or husbands.
