#ASKnet wanted to improve their training platform by fixing bugs and adding a couple of features. I was brought in to identify why the drag and drop feature was not working as intended and to fixt it. Later on, I was also asked to participate in adding the overview page and caching capabilities.

Who is #ASKnet?

#ASKnet is a cross-border consortium of community driven organizations with an aim to build a transformative and sustainable open society and a professional media skills ecosystem. The network provides access to a range of open source knowledge and information, media and IT related training as well as community oriented hands-on skills.
The nine members of #ASKnet address local community challenges, support empowerment with knowledge and skills, inspire regional innovation and creativity, and engage peacebuilding and community empowerment among all members of society.

Process

I started by identifying and fixing the issues related to the drag and drop feature. It turns out that some of the time calculations and cloning features had not been implemented properly. At the time, users could not add/edit time and day breaks. In some cases, the time calculations were off and had to be fixed. By the time I was done, users could create and edit time and day breaks however they wanted.

Next was the overview page. I helped in finalizing the design of the webpage and fixing filtering and searching bugs.
