Verlux — E-commerce Web Design

Role: Web/Product Designer
Type: Self-initiated demo project
Scope: Homepage, Shop, Product Detail, About, Contact (desktop + mobile)
Tools: Figma

Overview

Verlux is a concept B2B e-commerce brand I designed to demonstrate a premium supply-ordering experience for the hospitality industry — hotels, spas, resorts, gyms, and wellness facilities sourcing amenities and linen at scale. Unlike a typical DTC skincare or beauty site, this project required balancing luxury visual language with the practical, repeat-purchase needs of a B2B buyer (procurement leads, ops managers) who cares about consistency, bulk ordering, and reliability as much as aesthetics.

Goals

Communicate "five-star luxury" visually while keeping the experience functional for high-volume, repeat B2B ordering
Make filtering/browsing effortless across a large catalogue (amenities, linen, wellness supplies)
Build credibility through hard numbers (properties supplied, SKUs, cities served) rather than just lifestyle imagery
Provide a clear path to a sales conversation ("Contact Luxilla") alongside standard self-serve checkout

Design Approach

Palette: Deep burgundy/oxblood paired with warm cream and taupe — signals hospitality luxury (think five-star hotel lobby) rather than clinical beauty-retail.
Typography: A refined serif for brand mentions and hero statements, mixed with clean uppercase sans-serif for navigation and category labels — reinforces a premium, editorial-hospitality feel.
Visual language: Styled product photography on marble/wood surfaces, generous negative space, and a consistent tag system (Wet Amenities, Dry Amenities, Linen, Wellness Facility) to help buyers navigate a large SKU catalog quickly.

Key Screens

Homepage

Full-bleed hero establishes brand tone immediately ("Luxury You'll Feel in Every Space and Service"), followed by trust logos, new arrivals, brand values ("Five Star Material," "Operational Consistency," "Medical-Grade Hygiene"), best-sellers, and a testimonial band built to move a B2B buyer from
brand impression → capability proof → catalog exploration in one scroll.

Shop

Left-rail category and sub-category filtering (Wet Amenities, Dry Amenities, Linen, Wellness Facility) with sort and search — designed for buyers who know roughly what they need and want to filter fast across a 300+ SKU catalog, with pagination for deep browsing.

Product Detail

Tabbed content (Description / How to Use / Benefits) keeps the page compact for a B2B buyer scanning specs, paired with testimonials from named hospitality roles (Housekeeping Supervisor, Operations Lead) — reinforcing credibility with peer-relevant social proof rather than generic reviews.

About

Leads with hard metrics (200+ properties supplied, 98% on-spec reorder consistency, 1500+ SKUs) before story and team — appropriate for a B2B buyer evaluating a vendor, where operational trust matters more than brand narrative.

Contact

Positioned as "The New Benchmark for Your Guest Suites" with a direct call-to-action ("Contact Verlux") — supports a sales-assisted path alongside self-serve shopping, which is typical for bulk/B2B hospitality procurement.

Responsive Design

All five pages adapt cleanly to mobile with:
Nav collapsing to a hamburger menu
Sticky filter/sort controls condensed into icon-based mobile filters
Single-column product grids with pagination preserved
CTA banners restructured for full-width mobile tap targets

What This Project Demonstrates

Ability to shift visual and UX tone for a B2B/hospitality audience vs. a DTC consumer audience
Strong catalog/filtering UX for larger product sets
Confident use of a bold, saturated palette without sacrificing legibility or luxury feel
End-to-end thinking across discovery, catalogue browsing, product detail, and sales conversion paths

Note

This is a demo/concept project, not built for a live client, created to showcase B2B e-commerce and luxury brand-driven web design capabilities.
