Title: The Lost Key
FADE IN:
EXT. ABANDONED BUILDING - DAY
The camera pans across an old, rundown building, likely abandoned for years. Overgrown weeds and debris litter the entrance. A car pulls up, and we see our protagonist, JAKE, a man in his mid-20s, exit the car.
JAKE steps toward the building, looking around. His phone rings, and he sees a text message from his boss: "The key to the safe is inside the building. It must be retrieved before we close the deal. Good luck."
JAKE enters the building, taking out a flashlight as he goes.
INT. ABANDONED BUILDING - DAY
JAKE makes his way through the dark, musty building. He hears a strange noise and stops in his tracks. Suddenly, his phone dies.
Jake: Great. Just my luck.
He fumbles in the dark, trying to find his way. Suddenly, he trips and falls. When he stands up, he realizes the fall knocked the flashlight out of his hand.
Jake: Ugh. Now what?
He begins to feel around the ground for the flashlight when he hears footsteps.
Jake: Who's there?
Suddenly, the footsteps stop.
Jake decides to continue his search for the key, feeling his way around the room. He hears the footsteps again, this time getting louder.
Jake: Who's there? Show yourself!
The footsteps continue, eventually getting closer and closer until a dark figure appears in front of Jake.
Jake: Who are you?
The dark figure doesn't answer, instead lunging at Jake. Jake stumbles backward, falling onto the ground.
The figure moves closer, and Jake realizes it's holding the key he's been searching for.
Jake: Wait, please don't leave me here! How do I get out of here?
The figure doesn't answer, instead disappearing into the darkness.
Jake soon hears the sound of sirens, and they grow louder and louder until they're right outside the building.
Jake: Help! I'm in here!
The sound of the firefighters entering the building sends Jake into a state of relief.
Jake: Over here! Help me!
The firefighters find Jake and help him out of the building.
FADE OUT.
