She had recently been put down by a fellow critique partner. As this was her debut novel, she easily got insecure about her work and writing style.

She handed me her manuscript after making the deposit. It had been a week since she submitted her manuscript, and it was time to update her on it.

After a friendly conversation, I resumed back to work. The whole time frame of this project took over 15 days, almost 3 weeks.

I sent her the deliverables, and received a lengthy message thanking me for the effort and attention I put to her book. As per my policy, I asked her if there was anything that still troubled her or if anything was hard to act upon and comprehend.
