Project background:

A client from France approached us with a request for a UX-focused redesign for a PropTech startup.
Our client founded his startup Sezame a year and a half ago and is successfully promoting it in the French market. The company provides home lending services to low-income people.
Thanks to our client's company, users go through the stages of document verification, housing selection, financial planning and further support using the platform. According to the company's flow, users choose the home they want to buy and rent it for 3 years, making a deposit and paying rent every month. After the specified time and after the payments have been made, the users become legal owners of the property.
Throughout the entire process, the user is accompanied by an advisor who helps them manage their finances and resolve all legal issues.
The product is a SAAS platform with an end-user interface. The HubSpot CRM system is used instead of an Admin Panel. Initially, the visual part of the platform was made using a no-code solution, without any pre-designed analytics and UX.
At the time of contacting us, the client's company was in the transition stage from the startup to the scale-up and required significant revisions on the logic side.

Problems the Client came with :

Review and architect new UX for a User interface on the platform
Develop and apply new UI according to the new branding of the platform
Conduct a deep UX research to define Buyer Personas and make improvements to the platform logic
Expand platform’s functionality to decrease amount of clicks for End Users, make User path shorter and ьake the platform the only source of information for users as now the user needs to perform many actions outside the system, which reduces the conversion rate on the platform
Redesign the Landing page and especially quiz for prospects to increase conversion rate
Architect new UX including accessibility principles as 5% of users are people with disabilities
Restructure UX and deal with a big amount of information, legacy documentations and approval processes
Implement Open-banking functionality and develop a simulator for a financial calculations

Solution:

Performed initial research and analysis of the target audience based on real Customer data and separated Buyer Personas Portraits. At this stage, we outlined pain points, Personas’ needs, and specific requirements for the Product. Expanded Buyer Personas amount to involve more target audience.
Created a User Journey Map to define and map the Customer’s objectives, tasks, feelings, and possible solutions to satisfy all needs.
Analyzed provided analytics from the Product Owner about conversion rate, marketing research results and Competitors analysis
Developed principles, UI kit and visual materials for End User interface and Landing page
Based on the research results architected UX including accessibility principles
Developed and added UI to the Wireframes
Performed UX testing

Results:

The product and landing page were released with a new redesign to the market in a couple of months after the redesign
Due to the Product Owner reports conversion rate has been grown on the stage of quiz filling in and more Users has been registered to the platform
The Users became more concentrated on the platform as interaction out of platform has been removed
