If you asked me a year ago I would have told you that TikTok is just a bunch of young people dancing to trending songs. Now I would tell you that there is a little bit of everything on TikTok including the space for companies to build a presence and engage with their audience.
In under a year I have worked with my team member Samantha Taylor to build and grow our company TikTok
If you are a company thinking of stepping up your TikTok game then here is some advice that I wish I knew when I had gotten started.
💝 Add value to the audience before introducing your brand / company. Once you've added value, start subtly introducing your brand. There should not be a noticeable difference in your content.
🏄♀️ The shorter the video, the better. People have shorter than ever attention spans so keep your videos short and create the need for it to loop.
🔊 Focus on the volume of content over the quality of content. This was a hard one for me but it truly is how TikTok works. The videos I have felt are not worth posting have been the highest performers.
🏏 Stick with your niche. It is why people are following you.
👑 Accessibility is very important on TikTok. Make sure to add text or captions for everything said throughout a video.
🔁 Repurpose your content on all social media platforms. *Wink wink nudge nudge* Reels on Instagram.
🤯 Do not be discouraged by fluctuating engagement. Tiktok is a rollercoaster. If engagement goes down use this as a motivator to make MORE content.
