Downie Law – Bug Fixes, Speed & Responsive Optimization

Overview Downie Law, LLC is a law firm in Vidalia, Georgia, led by attorney Jack Downie. It covers criminal defense, DUI, personal injury, family law and civil litigation. The site has a large set of practice area pages and county pages. I worked on the existing WordPress and Elementor website to fix bugs and errors and improve its speed and mobile layout.

The challenge The site had bugs and JavaScript errors, needed speed optimization, and had responsive issues on smaller screens.

My role Front-end fixes and optimization on an existing site. I didn't create the original design or build.

Found and fixed website bugs.

Found and fixed JavaScript errors.

Optimized the site's speed.

Fixed responsive layout issues on smaller screens.

Outcome The homepage now loads with no JavaScript errors in the browser console. On a phone-sized screen, the homepage and the DUI Defense page fit the width with no sideways scrolling.
