Project Overview

In collaboration with Vola Finance, I undertook a comprehensive redesign of their iOS application and responsive web pages. The project focused on enhancing the user experience for their credit-building and cash advance platform, making financial services more accessible to their diverse user base across the United States.

Client Background

Vola Finance operates in the fintech sector, specifically in the lending industry. Their platform provides users with essential financial tools including credit score building capabilities, cash advances, and personalized secured bank accounts. These services are designed to help users better manage their financial health and access credit solutions when needed.


The Challenge


The primary challenge was transforming complex financial processes and terminology into an intuitive, user-friendly interface. The existing design was text-heavy and users were struggling to understand certain features, creating barriers to effective platform utilization. Additionally, the client needed various user flows redesigned to improve conversion rates and user engagement.


Approach


I began with a thorough analysis of the existing design to identify pain points and areas for improvement. 

Our strategy focused on:
Maintaining design consistency with existing elements while introducing modern improvements
Incorporating visual elements and illustrations to replace dense text where appropriate
Introducing new critical user flows including credit withdrawal, referral programs, and subscription payments
Creating cohesive marketing materials including banners and email templates
Working within the established design system while introducing fresh, engaging elements
