Bazarbdnet - Online Marketplace

Overview

Bazarbdnet is a general online marketplace for Bangladesh, built around a simple promise: buy from home, sell without friction. Unlike a single-brand store, it has two sides to serve at once. Buyers need to find something across eleven very different categories, and sellers need a route to list and sell without technical help.

Bangla first

This is a Bangla-first product, not an English site with Bangla pasted over it. Category names, product labels, prices in Bengali numerals, buttons and helper text are all written for a Bangla reader. Getting this right is mostly typography and restraint: Bangla script needs more line height and breathing room than Latin text, and a layout built for English will look cramped and cheap the moment real content goes in.

Eleven categories, one clear path

Fashion, electronics, mobile and gadgets, home and living, health and beauty, mother and child, food and grocery, sports and outdoor, vehicles and more. A catalogue this broad usually turns into a wall of links. Instead the home page leads with a category rail, then three clearly separated entry points, flash sale, new arrivals and special offers, so a shopper who knows what they want and a shopper who is just browsing both have somewhere to go.

Trust, built into the page

In a market where buyers have been burned by social-media sellers, trust is the actual product. Verified sellers, easy returns, secure payment, nationwide delivery and round-the-clock support sit in a strip directly under the hero, not hidden on a policy page. Those five lines answer the objection before it forms.

What I built

Category and search browsing, product pages, wishlist, cart, flash sale and offers sections, and customer accounts, built with Next.js and React and laid out mobile-first, because nearly all of this traffic arrives on a phone.
